Seven types of foods that patients with colorectal cancer should avoid. According to the 2007 Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) 298(7):754).  "Conclusions: Higher intake of a Western dietary pattern may be associated with a higher risk of recurrence and mortality among patients with stage III colon cancer treated with surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy. Further studies are needed to delineate which components of such a diet show the strongest association." The early treatment rate of colorectal cancer is very high. If it does not recur within 5 years, it means that the cancer has a chance to be cured. Recognize high blood pressure (hypertension)

What is blood pressure?

Blood pressure is the lateral pressure on the arterial wall when blood is sent from the heart. Imagine: motor, water, water pipe. The heart of the body is like a motor, and blood vessels are like water pipes. When the heart pumps blood into the arteries, the pressure is the  systolic blood pressure. When the heart relaxes, the pressure of the blood returning is called the diastolic pressure.

The cause of high blood pressure?

More than 95% of hypertension is suffering from unexplained primary hypertension, which may be related to genetics, environment, and diet. In addition, less than 5% of hypertension is secondary hypertension caused by endocrine, kidney disease or vascular disease.

Symptoms of high blood pressure?

Hypertension may be asymptomatic. Occasionally feel headaches and tight back neck. When the blood pressure is very high, it is likely to cause damage to the eyes, brain, heart, kidneys, and large blood vessels and cause the following symptoms: blurred vision, severe headache, confusion, epilepsy, Limb weakness or numbness, nausea, vomiting, profuse sweating, chest pain, difficulty breathing, arrhythmia, hematuria, oliguria or anuria, tinnitus, etc.

The correct method of measuring blood pressure:

1. Sit on a chair with a backrest, support your arms at the same height as your heart, and stop smoking and ingesting caffeinated beverages 30 minutes before the blood pressure is measured.

2. You must rest for five minutes before measuring.

3. Choose a Pulse pressure of appropriate size.

4. Both systolic and diastolic blood pressure must be recorded in detail.

5. Take the average of two or more measurement results. And there must be more than two minutes between two measurements.

Precautions for hypertension:

Quit smoking: It can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Weight loss: Maintain ideal body weight and reduce heart load caused by overweight.

Low-salt diet: reducing salt intake can lower blood pressure.

Control drinking:

Men's daily alcohol intake should be less than 30 grams/day

Women's daily alcohol intake should be less than 20 grams/day

Regular exercise habits:

Regular exercise: At least 40 minutes a day, at least 3 to 4 days a week, do some mild aerobic exercise, such as brisk walking, jogging, swimming, cycling... etc. Before choosing the type of exercise, a doctor should do a complete evaluation, and choose the appropriate type of exercise according to the physiological situation.

Use antihypertensive drugs correctly:

Develop correct medication habits. If you improve your lifestyle and still cannot control your blood pressure, you must seek further medication. There are many kinds of medicines, and you must not take medicine randomly, and take medicine after diagnosis by a doctor.

Balanced diet:

Eat less saturated fat and cholesterol foods, such as animal meat (except fish), offal, and reduce the amount and frequency of intake. Eat more high-fiber foods, such as vegetables, fruits, and whole-grain products. The diet must be regular and quantitative, and cooked with water to reduce fat intake. Drink less irritating beverages such as tea and coffee.

Daily health care: regularly measure and record blood pressure. Keep warm and avoid going out in cold weather. Keep a happy mood, get enough rest and sleep, and get enough water.

Can a healthy person have a stroke? Pay attention to these three eating habits.

Can a healthy person have a stroke?  Pay attention to these three eating habits. But anyone, even people who are relatively young and healthy, could potentially have a stroke. In the past, stroke was considered a disease that only middle-aged and elderly people need to worry about. According to a report published in the Journal of the American Heart Association (Stroke) in February 2020, 10-15% of stroke patients are between 18-50 years old. Many young stroke patients have a family history of genetic disease, but poor eating habits may also bring about a stroke crisis. See the following three major dangerous causes of stroke. 1.Low carb diet In order to reduce the intake of carbohydrates, some people eat less vegetables, fruits, grains, and legumes, but eat too much high-protein, high-fat foods, leading to an increase in blood lipids and cholesterol and increasing the risk of stroke. Why do you get diabetes? If you have the following habits, be careful.

Why do you get diabetes? If you have the following habits, be careful. Diabetes comes from heredity or lifestyle. What is "diabetes"? After ordinary people eat, glucose is produced during the digestion and decomposition of food. When the pancreas feels the stimulation of glucose, it will secrete "insulin" to let glucose enter the cells and convert it into energy, so that our body has enough energy. However, if the body lacks insulin, or the cells cannot use insulin and produce (Insulin Resistance; IR), the sugar in the blood cannot enter the cells, causing the body to lack nutrition and damage blood vessels at the same time, and "diabetes" is formed. Therefore, the key reason for diabetes is whether the body has "secreted enough" insulin and whether it can "correctly use" insulin. Please refer to the following items to evaluate your own situation. 1. There are diabetic patients in the family. 2. gestational diabetes mellitus. 3. Fatty ...
