Seven types of foods that patients with colorectal cancer should avoid.

Seven types of foods that patients with colorectal cancer should avoid. According to the 2007 Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) 298(7):754).  "Conclusions: Higher intake of a Western dietary pattern may be associated with a higher risk of recurrence and mortality among patients with stage III colon cancer treated with surgery and adjuvant chemotherapy. Further studies are needed to delineate which components of such a diet show the strongest association." The early treatment rate of colorectal cancer is very high. If it does not recur within 5 years, it means that the cancer has a chance to be cured. Therefore, patients with colorectal cancer should pay more attention to their daily diet to avoid deterioration of the disease. Seven types of foods to avoid: 1. High-sugar foods: Desserts and sugary drinks will increase the risk of intestinal inflammation. It is recommended to drink more boiled water instead of sugary drinks and eat less desserts. 2. Fried food: H...

What is Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension, (DASH)

Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension, (DASH)

Principle:

1. High potassium: Potassium is the mineral with the highest content in the cell. It can antagonize sodium ions and change the sensitivity to salt. Fruits, vegetables and milk are rich in potassium.

2. High magnesium: Magnesium participates in many enzyme functions of the body; rich magnesium can improve insulin sensitivity. Vegetables and fruits are one of the main sources, and whole grains containing bran and germ (such as brown rice, oats, oatmeal, jojoba) are also high in content.

3. High calcium: Calcium-rich foods, mainly low-fat milk or skimmed milk, followed by: dark green vegetables, sea vegetables, small fish with bones, these calcium content is also very rich.

4. High dietary fiber: It can block the rapid absorption of simple sugars into the blood circulation and improve the body of insulin resistance; fiber-rich foods include: vegetables, fruits, whole grains, roots and stems (such as: radish, taro).

5. Saturated fatty acid control: excessive intake of saturated fatty acids will increase endogenous cholesterol and promote arteriosclerosis; use low-fat or skimmed milk as much as possible for milk. Avoid fatty meat or lard.

6. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids: can antagonize the effects of saturated fats. The main sources are seeds/stone fruits (such as sesame, almonds, pine nuts, etc.) and various vegetable oils (such as salad oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil, rapeseed oil, olive oil) .

In addition, research supports that DASH not only lowers blood pressure, but also helps improve cholesterol in the body.

Why can DASH bring health benefits?

High blood pressure will make your heart work harder, make your arteriosclerosis lose its elasticity, and cause the brain and kidneys, which have a lot of blood to exchange organs, to work less efficiently. In the future, it may develop into heart disease, kidney disease, and kidney disease. Stroke or blindness.

Controlling blood pressure through healthy eating habits can effectively prevent or control the increase in blood pressure, and can further delay the occurrence of serious illnesses. DASH is a diet that helps control blood pressure.

Can a healthy person have a stroke? Pay attention to these three eating habits.

Can a healthy person have a stroke?  Pay attention to these three eating habits. But anyone, even people who are relatively young and healthy, could potentially have a stroke. In the past, stroke was considered a disease that only middle-aged and elderly people need to worry about. According to a report published in the Journal of the American Heart Association (Stroke) in February 2020, 10-15% of stroke patients are between 18-50 years old. Many young stroke patients have a family history of genetic disease, but poor eating habits may also bring about a stroke crisis. See the following three major dangerous causes of stroke. 1.Low carb diet In order to reduce the intake of carbohydrates, some people eat less vegetables, fruits, grains, and legumes, but eat too much high-protein, high-fat foods, leading to an increase in blood lipids and cholesterol and increasing the risk of stroke. The "Journal of the American College of Cardiology" study also pointed out that taking ...

Why do you get diabetes? If you have the following habits, be careful.

Why do you get diabetes? If you have the following habits, be careful. Diabetes comes from heredity or lifestyle. What is "diabetes"? After ordinary people eat, glucose is produced during the digestion and decomposition of food. When the pancreas feels the stimulation of glucose, it will secrete "insulin" to let glucose enter the cells and convert it into energy, so that our body has enough energy. However, if the body lacks insulin, or the cells cannot use insulin and produce (Insulin Resistance; IR), the sugar in the blood cannot enter the cells, causing the body to lack nutrition and damage blood vessels at the same time, and "diabetes" is formed. Therefore, the key reason for diabetes is whether the body has "secreted enough" insulin and whether it can "correctly use" insulin. Please refer to the following items to evaluate your own situation. 1. There are diabetic patients in the family. 2. gestational diabetes mellitus. 3. Fatty ...

What is pregnancy-induced hypertension?

Pregnancy-induced hypertension  Hypertension in pregnancy is an unpredictable and high-risk disease during pregnancy. If the blood pressure exceeds the standard, it must be controlled to ensure the health of the fetus and the pregnant woman. Therefore, a better understanding of pregnancy-induced hypertension is helpful for future judgment and treatment. Pregnancy-induced hypertension means that a pregnant woman does not have a history of hypertension, but after 20 weeks of pregnancy, it can be defined as Pregnancy-induced hypertension if the symptoms of hypertension are found on examination. If the pregnant woman has a related medical history, the symptoms of hypertension during pregnancy are not pregnancy-induced hypertension. If you have symptoms of hypertension before 20 weeks of pregnancy, it is possible that the pregnant woman is a hypertensive patient, but has not been previously diagnosed. After 20 weeks of pregnancy, there will be an item to measure blood pressure in the ob...
